SPIN-R is a brand we’ve created in 2010. We have been a pioneer in manufacturing watch winders for over a decade. We spent years in perfecting high quality, user-friendly and sophisticated watch winders. We understand how much you care about your automatic watches, and SPIN-R is specifically designed to be a safe and comfortable home for it. With it’s innovative design, SPIN-R will fit stylishly at your home or office.

What challenges were you trying to get Clarity to solve?

We are still a start-up company. We don’t have the manpower to develop our own mobile app, we need to outsource to build the app.

Please describe the solution that Clarity provides in detail?

We talked to them first. Clarity was with us from Day 1 to develop the mobile app till now. We described the scope and what we expected from them. We decided to have Phase 1, 2 & 3 and told them what we want, how we want to execute in each stage. Once we finalized what we want in each stage, they started to have a wire-frame development, and then go through the UX/UI and then coding. We constantly meet over Skype every week to recap on the project. Clarity helped us to develop an app on IOS, Android and our native website too. They were able to give very professional advice with industry insight. They were able to provide us with some useful advice which is coming from their angle and let end-user to have a better experience.

Through another developer introduced me.

What is the status of this engagement now? For how long?

It's still ongoing, a lot of different function keep adding on to the app to enhance customer experience. The Phase 1 of the Mobile app took 4 to 5 months long, started from March 2015 until July 2015. From March 2015 until now, we have at least come across five different stages.

Could you share the results from this service?

After users had used it, we got a lot of positive feedbacks.

What distinguishes Clarity from other providers?

In previous projects, we hired another developer. Unfortunately, the experience was not very good. I would say Clarity is at least 2-3 times better. First, the communication is much better. Second, they are able to give us the useful suggestion in terms of UX/UI and coding.

Is there anything Clarity could have improved or done differently?

No.

What challenges were you trying to get Clarity to solve?

We needed to develop a mobile app, then we found seven companies to compare. Clarity was the best among them. Initially, we didn’t have our I.T team, so we needed to find someone to build the mobile app for us. We had a team later on but we still want to cooperate with Clarity.

We told Clarity about our requirements and what customers want. Then, Clarity moved on to make UX/ UI and coding. Clarity continuously provided feedback on the project development, found out the potential challenges, software development problem, and they knew what the clients need and want. They made changes before those potential problems happen.

How did you come to work with Clarity?

I met Clarity's founder, Andrea in an event.

What is the status of this engagement now? For how long?

It's still ongoing. We have a close collaboration relationship. Clarity provides support to our team and answered our technical questions. The collaboration started from 2015 till now, and it has been about two years.

Clarity made many improvements to the app. We received many positive feedbacks from clients.

The communication is very clear. Clarity had a very strong process of project management, and understand what the clients want and need.

No. We are satisfied and it is really ok.

Crossroads Foundation is a Hong Kong based non-profit organisation. Our goal is to connect people in a broken world. As our name suggests, we try to be a crossroads: bringing together those in need and those who can help. We do so in four ways.

What challenges were you trying to get Clarity to solve?

We required a mobile app to enable donors to photograph their items, communicate with reviewers and arrange transportation of their items to our warehouse.

Please describe the solution that Clarity provides in detail?

Clarity worked with us to turn our existing designs into an Android app. They produced an efficient software development schedule and were able to stick to it. They arranged bi-weekly short meetings (scrums) to update on progress and raise questions. The app was delivered on time and of excellent quality.

How did you come to work with Clarity?

The first connection was via a Hong Kong programmer-focused meetup group where they advertised their services.

What is the status of this engagement now? For how long?

Completed. From Nov 2014 - Feb 2015.

Could you share the results from this service?

The mobile app was a proof of concept, early prototype version that provided us with the ability to demonstrate the potential effectiveness of the initiative when seeking further funding and partners. We were able to successfully launch the service as a result, and the app played an important role in that.

What distinguishes Clarity from other providers?

They were responsive and thorough and were kind enough to give us a preferential rate given we are a non-profit organization. They showed a keen interest in the initiative beyond their own financial remuneration and offered support in other ways to help it succeed.

Is there anything Clarity could have improved or done differently?

No, we were very happy with Clarity’s professionalism and service. They took the time to listen and understand our specific requirements and were able to deliver what was expected.
